The Solar Credits Program is a national Government incentive which offers thousands of dollars in savings (depending on size and location of the installation) to those installing solar energy systems. The Solar Credits Program applies to new installations of small scale renewable energy generations whereby home or business owners installing solar systems can earn solar credits in the form of Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs). These can then be traded by the Solar Provider for money.
Like most schemes and programs, there are conditions that apply.
The Government Feed-In-Tariff scheme allows owners of solar energy systems to be paid for the electricity they feed back into the main grid. Solar feed in tariffs exist in most states and pay a premium rate for the electricity produced - far higher than the market rate for electricity so it pays to select a solar system that exceeds your power requirements.
See below the current Feed-In-Tariff Scheme on a state by state basis.
